Julia and Mo

A few weeks ago, Julia was working an event at work - an event that took her and her group to Busch Stadium for a stadium tour. At one point, I get a text from her stating, "Mozeliak is talking to the group now." It was then that I wished I had invited myself along on this work tour of Baseball Heaven. Yeah, I capitalized it. What of it? It's a proper name, so live with it.

For those of you not in the baseball know, Mozeliak, (aka Mo) is the General Manager of the 11-time World Series Champion, St. Louis Cardinals.

My response to her text was, "Get his autograph!"

Anyone could have scribbled that, right? Hence, my reason for inquiring. However, knowing that Julia can approach anyone or any age about anything without caring, it could just as easily be the real deal. What popped up on my screen a few seconds later? Oh, just this:

Not only did he suggest taking a photo, he actually said, "Let's take a selfy and send it to him!"

How awesome is that? The GM of the St. Louis Cardinals wanted to take a selfy and send it to eff with me! I think I like him a little bit more now.

Looks like the first non-Dave included selfy ever to make the annual Christmas card. Kudos, Mr. Mozeliak. Kudos to you and your bow tie.
