Ebbets Field Flannels. How I love thee!

I mentioned in my last post that I've added a couple of new jerseys, or gameshirts, as my work friend, Will, who cares nothing at all for sports, refers to them.
My supplier (aka dealer) for these glorious garments of baseball lore is none other than Ebbets Field Flannels out of Seattle, Washington, celebrating 25 years of serving vintage gameshirt craving fools like me. You may remember EFF from our 2011 trip home for Alaska. We had a five-hour layover in Seattle and used that time wisely by making the trek from SEATAC to 408 Occidental Ave. and my favorite store on planet earth, her eight siblings and all of their moons.

Can we see those new beauties, you ask? You're in luck because I'm feeling nice, which happens about as often a Hale Bopp, so take a look before I get cranky and remove all trace of these photos from the interwebs.

What's that dazzling and magnificent gameshirt, you ask? Why, it's a 1964 Tom Seaver Alaska Goldpanners jersey, duh!
And this radiant woolen baseball garment? It's obviously a 1942 Oakland Oaks Joe DiMaggio gameshirt.

What's that? Joe D was a Yankee in '42 and couldn't possibly have worn said gameshirt, you say? Well shut thine face, says I. I present Exhibit A, photos of the Yankee Clipper donning my latest treasure.

So thank you, Ebbets Field Flannels, for being such fine purveyors of woolen crack. Here's to 25 more years!
