Day 10: Dayton, Ohio

So it was the last day of our road trip, not including being homeward bound, and we left Binghamton, New York at 8:30 a.m. to get to Dayton, Ohio for a 7:05 p.m. game. We rolled into town around 5:30-ish and had some time to kill in the 95 degree heat in downtown Dayton, Ohio so we walked around the outside of the stadium until the gates opened. I only sweat a gallon's worth. God, how I wish I could get all-over Botox shots. My clothes would stay much dryer and I'd look like so much less of a hoosier.

The best part of the day, you ask? NO MORE TOLLS! It's true. Not a single dime spent on tolls since the Massachusetts Turnpike. The worst part of the day? Having to drive to our hotel, which was 115 miles away in Indianapolis, Indiana, after the game. Hence, no posting once we got there. Too tie tie. Needed nappy.

The day was pretty uneventful except when we stopped at one of those gas station service plaza Subways for lunch. While eating, we heard, "Number 31, shower 2 is now ready. Number 31, shower 2 is now ready." It's not everyday that it's announced that someone's shower is ready while you're eating. I could go another 38 years without hearing it again too. Just something I don't need to picture whilst consuming a Spicy Italian on wheat.

And here's the rest of the story:

Next Stop: Day 11 takes us homeward. Boo. But we do get to see if the cats are dead, so there's a bonus.
