Friendliness Abounds in NC

I'm heading to Concord, NC today to visit one last cemetery where my great aunt is buried (that would be Janie). I got up this morning to call the cemetery office because, from my experience, they usually close by noon on Saturday and I didn't know if I'd make it there by then, so I got up to give them a call for the grave location. They don't close until 1 p.m., but the woman there was so ridiculously nice that she's printing a map of the location for me and taping it on the door in case I don't make it there on time. She's also having a maintenance guy place an orange cone on the grave so I can find it. Who does that kind of stuff? Nobody in the big bad city of STL.

And...I'm going...to the Cape Fear Fair at the Fayetteville Motor Speedway. I can't believe I just typed those words and I may have just thrown up a little, but I figure, when in Fayetteville...

And, yes, I will be taking my camera and extra batteries!
