Thanks to Suzanne, we had tickets to today's Astros/Cards game. Luckily for Kyle Lohse and the Cards, Dave was again in attendance, thus a victory was guaranteed. The Cardinals went on to sweep the series and further punish the Astros for 2005. Oswalt and Wandy are no longer untouchable and Pujols is, once again, proven to be a monster.
Lohse gave up a hit on the first hit of the game and nothing else until the ninth. Sweeeeet. His stats: 9 IP, 3 hits, 0 earned runs, 0 walks, 4 K, while lowering his ERA to a Gibsonesque 1.12. Of course that will balloon to 12.12 by September, but hey, give the guy his due after two starts.
That's a whole lotta man love right there.
